Manchester United Win 2014 Guinness International Champions Cup

Manchester United defeated FC Liverpool 3-1 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami to win the 2014 Guinness International Champions Cup. The second annual summer soccer tournament took place in 13 United States cities.

Steven Gerrard opened the scoring for Liverpool with a converted penalty kick @ 14 minutes to give Liverpool a 1-0 lead.

In the second half Wayne Rooney scored the equalizer from a cross by Chicharito, and Spaniard winger Juan Mata scored the winner to give the Red Devils the 2014 title. Near the end Jess Lingard scored another goal for United.

Superstar Man Utd striker Wayne Rooney was named Guiness Man of the Match for his excellent performance.

Manchester United were undefeated in the tournament under new boss Louis Van Gaal.

The 2014 Guinness International Champions Cup drew more than 50,000 fans, the largest soccer crowd ever in the United States.
